₃And the king _* _h4428 of Jericho _* _h3405 sent _* _h7971 _h8799 unto Rahab _* _h7343, saying _* _h559 _h8800, Bring forth _* _h3318 _h8685 the men _* _h582 that are come _* _h935 _h8802 to thee, which are entered _* _h935 _h8804 into thine house _* _h1004: for they be come _* _h935 _h8804 to search out _* _h2658 _h8800 all the country _* _h776.

₄And the woman _* _h802 took _* _h3947 _h8799 the two _* _h8147 men _* _h582, and hid _* _h6845 _h8799 them, and said _* _h559 _h8799 thus, There came _* _h935 _h8804 men _* _h582 unto me, but I wist _* _h3045 _h8804 not whence _* _h370 they were :

₅And it came to pass about the time of shutting _* _h5462 _h8800 of the gate _* _h8179, when it was dark _* _h2822, that the men _* _h582 went out _* _h3318 _h8804: whither the men _* _h582 went _* _h1980 _h8804 I wot _* _h3045 _h8804 not: pursue _* _h7291 _h8798 after _* _h310 them quickly _* _h4118; for ye shall overtake _* _h5381 _h8686 them.

₆But she had brought them up _* _h5927 _h8689 to the roof _* _h1406 of the house, and hid _* _h2934 _h8799 them with the stalks _* _h6086 of flax _* _h6593, which she had laid in order _* _h6186 _h8803 upon the roof _* _h1406.

₇And the men _* _h582 pursued _* _h7291 _h8804 after _* _h310 them the way _* _h1870 to Jordan _* _h3383 unto the fords _* _h4569: and as soon as they which pursued _* _h7291 _h8802 after _* _h310 them were gone out _* _h3318 _h8804, they shut _* _h5462 _h8804 the gate _* _h8179.

₈And before they were laid down _* _h7901 _h8799, she came up _* _h5927 _h8804 unto them upon the roof _* _h1406;

₁₂Now therefore, I pray you, swear _* _h7650 _h8734 unto me by the LORD _* _h3068, since _* _h3588 I have shewed _* _h6213 _h8804 you kindness _* _h2617, that ye will also shew _* _h6213 _h8804 kindness _* _h2617 unto my father's _* _h1 house _* _h1004, and give _* _h5414 _h8804 me a true _* _h571 token _* _h226:

₁₃And that ye will save alive _* _h2421 _h8689 my father _* _h1, and my mother _* _h517, and my brethren _* _h251, and my sisters _* _h269, and all that they have, and deliver _* _h5337 _h8689 our lives _* _h5315 from death _* _h4194.

₁₄And the men _* _h582 answered _* _h559 _h8799 her, Our life _* _h5315 for yours _* _h4191 _h8800, if ye utter _* _h5046 _h8686 not this our business _* _h1697. ₁₅Then she let them down _* _h3381 _h8686 by a cord _* _h2256 through _* _h1157 the window _* _h2474: for her house _* _h1004 was upon the town _* _h7023 wall _* _h2346, and she dwelt _* _h3427 _h8802 upon the wall _* _h2346.

₁₆And she said _* _h559 _h8799 unto them, Get _* _h3212 _h8798 you to the mountain _* _h2022, lest the pursuers _* _h7291 _h8802 meet _* _h6293 _h8799 you; and hide _* _h2247 _h8738 yourselves there three _* _h7969 days _* _h3117, until the pursuers _* _h7291 _h8802 be returned _* _h7725 _h8800: and afterward _* _h310 may ye go _* _h3212 _h8799 your way _* _h1870.
