JACINTH

A precious stone.

And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a JACINTH; the twelfth, an amethyst. (Revelation 21:19-20)

JANGLING

Foolish, empty talk.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: from which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain JANGLING. (1 Timothy 1:5-6)

JOINED HARD

To border; to be adjacent to.

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house JOINED HARD to the synagogue. (Acts 18:6-7)

JONAS

Jonah.

And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of JONAS the prophet. For as JONAS was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. (Luke 11:29-30)

JOT

The smallest Hebrew letter.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one JOT or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:17-18)
