NAUGHT

Nothing; vain; bad.

It is NAUGHT, it is NAUGHT, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth. (Proverbs 20:14)

NAY

No.

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; NAY, NAY: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. (Matthew 5:37)

NECROMANCER

One who inquires of the dead.

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a NECROMANCER. (Deuteronomy 18:10-11)

NEESINGS

Sneezings.

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? By his NEESINGS a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. (Job 41:18)

NETHER

Lower.

And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the NETHER part of the mount. (Exodus 19:17)

NETTLE

Thorny shrub; prickly weed.

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; and, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and NETTLES had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. (Proverbs 24:30-31)

NIGH

Near.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is NIGH: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. (Matthew 24:32-33)

NITRE

A mineral; carbonate of soda.

As he that taketh away a garment in cold weather, and as vinegar upon NITRE, so is he that singeth songs to an heavy heart. (Proverbs 25:20)

NO LITTLE KINDNESS

Exceptional kindness.

And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. And the barbarous people showed us NO LITTLE KINDNESS: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. (Acts 28:1-2)

NOISOME

Bad; foul.

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a NOISOME and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. (Revelation 16:2)

NOT A WHIT

Not the least bit.

For I suppose I was NOT A WHIT behind the very chiefest apostles. (2 Corinthians 11:5)

NOUGHT

Nothing.

And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to NOUGHT: but if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. (Acts 5:38-39)
