The Pilgrim's Progress condensed and illustrated
Written by a plain man, who, from being a poor tinker, became a powerful preacher of God's message to mankind.
The story is told as an allegory, illustrating the trials that beset a Christian on his way through life.
John Bunyan, the author, was born at Elstow, near Bedford, in 1628, and died in London in 1688.
He was imprisoned for twelve years for daring to preach the Gospel without the sanction of the Church.
While in Bedford prison he wrote the first part of his story retold largely in his own words.

The condensed version of The Pilgrim's Progress is from my personal library of the 1912 edition of The Book of Knowledge that I scanned and reformatted.
I think I cleaned up all the errors from the conversion process. I've also added additional images.
